Dolores Ann Grotrian entered the Church Triumphant on November 4, 2021. Pastor Ken Tubbesing presided at the 2:00 p.m Monday, October 8th funeral service at Martin Luther Church. Interment is in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Johnson, Nebraska.
The MLC church family joins with the Grotrian family in remembering the 85 years that Dolores walked with God here on this earth. Dolores was the ultimate farm wife. In addition to preparing lunches and other food she could often be found helping with chores and loved driving the grain truck during harvest. She loved working in the garden and tending to her flower gardens. While members at Zion Lutheran near Johnson, she played the organ for over 40 years.
We extend our sympathy to Dolores’ family, Arlen and Kathie Grotrian; Lori and Craig Behrends; Linda Post; and Jim and Lisa Grotrian; as well as her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband Paul in 2017, her daughter, Kathryn Grotrian and a son-in-law, Stanley Post.
Her son and daughter-in-law, Arlen and Kathie Grotrian as well as grandchildren Andy & Amber Grotrian, Joel Grotrian, and Tracie & Eric Beethe; great-grandchildren, Reese, Addison, and Ella Grotrian, Rylie, Baker, and Kyler Beethe are a part of the MLC church family.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
From now on there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness,
which the LORD, the righteous judge, will give me on that day,
and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
