Each year the Martin Luther Church Women sponsor Grateful Giving Sunday. The women of MLC encourage everyone to remember God’s faithfulness and steadfast love to all of us. We are especially grateful for the opportunities to be of the Lord’s service with all of this year’s mission projects. This year’s Grateful Giving Sunday was held on November 5.
Project Response which serves women and children in our surrounding counties was designated to be the recipient of a special offering as we observed this year’s Grateful Giving Sunday.
A special prayer of blessing was given for the 100 quilts that the Sewing Group had completed from September, 2016 until April, 2017. The blankets were displayed on the pews for the worship service and were packed in boxes the next day to be on their way to those in need around the world through Lutheran World Relief and Orphan Grain Train.
And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. Colossians 3:14
