Three young persons who have been involved at Martin Luther Church during their youth graduated from high school in 2020.  While the Covid-19 virus prevented actual ceremonies at their respective high schools in May, Martin Luther Church wanted to express their congratulations in the best way that they could.    The Seniors were gifted with a blanket they personally picked out from the the blankets that were made during the last sewing year by the Martin Luther Church Sewing Group.

Pictured above are Logan Edwards, Ethan Brown, and Kyra DeBuse who had just picked out their blankets inside the church before the worship service.  The three were then honored during the worship service held outside in the parking lot!

Logan Edwards is a graduate of Johnson-Brock Public Schools.  This fall she will be attending Peru State College and will be majoring in Psychology.  She will also be playing basketball at Peru.

Ethan Brown is also a graduate of Johnson-Brock Public Schools.  He will be attending Southeast Community College at Milford.  He has chosen to study in the field of Diesel Technology.

Kyra DeBuse is a graduate of Lincoln Southeast Public School in Lincoln, Nebraska.  She will be attending Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, Nebraska.  She will be learning to become a Vet Tech.

After the worship service, Ethan, Kyra and Logan were congratulated by members.  As this is a most unusual year, we accomplished that by giving our praise and best wishes as we drove by the graduates lined up at the end of the parking lot as we left the morning service!

Martin Luther Church family is proud to honor these graduates and have reminded them to take their faith as well as the blankets with them as they begin their new endeavors.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. ~  Jeremiah 29:11
