On Sunday, September 8th the church was alive with the color of 94 blankets that were made by the Sewing Group. The blankets were sewed and tied from September, 2018 to April, 2019.

During the worship service, a prayer of blessing was offered by Pastor Tubbesing and the congregation as a few of the Sunday School children brought forward a representation of the school kit backpacks and the blankets.

Rylie is wrapped in a blanket made by the Sewing Group. Chase and Elliot hold school kit backpacks while Pastor Tubbesing offers a prayer of blessing.

The 94 blankets and the 141 school kit backpacks were given to persons in need locally as well as shipped worldwide through Orphan Grain Train.

In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” ~ Acts 20:35
