Alvin J. Holthus entered the Church Triumphant on July 18, 2016. Pastor Ken Tubbesing presided at the July 30 memorial service at the Johnson Legion Hall.
Alvin was a farmer and cattleman as well as being active in the day care services that his wife, Angela had provided. He was also active in the church, the Nemaha Rural Water District #2, and the Johnson Rural Fire District. The Martin Luther Church family joins with the Holthus family in remembering the 82 years that he resided here on God’s earth.
Martin Luther Church extends sympathies to his wife, Angela, and also to his son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and April Holthus as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Alvin’s son, Arlan, preceded him in death in 2014.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
