Martin Luther Church hosted the traditional Sunday School Christmas Eve program on Monday, December 24 at 5:00 p.m.

Pastor Ken Tubbesing welcomed the many visitors and the children and young adults presented the play which was called “The Mighty Messengers’ Big Adventure”.   The play featured  a very special group of angels (The Mighty Messengers) and some interesting stable animals who all took part in the world’s most extraordinary night  The setting jumped back and forth from heaven, to a stable in Bethlehem, to a hillside where shepherds are watching their sheep, to King Herod’s castle where he meets the Wisemen.

 

God’s Little Angels (Pre-school and Kindergarten) sang Away in the Manger, See the Baby Jesus, and Angel Band.

Kindergarten – “Wake Up”

The program was directed by Kathie Grotrian alongside the help of the Parish Education members and Sunday School teachers.  Joan Bohling was the accompanist.

The offering for the evening service was designated to Johnson-Brock Backpack Program and the Johnson-Brock Teammates Program.

The service concluded with the traditional candlelight service and “Silent Night”
